Payments, Registration, Cancellation & Refunds

1. Purpose & Scope
These Terms of Service govern registration, payments, cancellations, refunds, and billing matters for programs offered by the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation, dba East Coast Village (“East Coast Village”).
These Terms apply to all participants, including residential and multi-day programs.
2. Tuition, Fees & Program Costs
Tuition: covers participation in the specific program or event as described at registration.
Lodging (Residential & Multi-Day Programs): For programs that include overnight participation:
- Lodging fees apply separately from tuition unless stated otherwise.
- Participants commuting or staying off-site may be subject to a Land Use Fee for multi-day programs.
Meals: Unless otherwise stated:
- Meals are not included in tuition.
- Community meals may be offered during residential programs and involve shared food preparation, clean?up, and care of common spaces.
3. Payment Methods & Registration
- Online: Advance payments may be completed online using a major credit card. Payments are processed securely via third-party platforms (e.g., Stripe or PayPal, as indicated at checkout).
- By Mail: Registration forms may be mailed with a check or money order to the address listed on the registration form. Please do not send cash.
- At the Door: Space permitting, late registrations may be accepted on the day of the event. Please call ahead to confirm availability.
- Registration is accepted on a first-paid basis.
- Registration is not confirmed until full payment is received.
By completing checkout online, you authorize East Coast Village to charge your selected payment method for the total amount shown.
4. Discounts, Scholarships & Work Exchange
From time to time, East Coast Village may offer tuition discounts, including early?bird pricing.
Family & Couple Discount
Adult family members or couples registering together receive 10% off tuition.
Please note:
- Discounts and credits cannot be combined
- Only one discount or credit program may be applied per event

5. Payment Plans & Automatic Withdrawals (If Offered)
If you select a payment plan:
- You authorize automatic withdrawals according to the schedule presented at checkout.
- Future scheduled payments may be canceled with written notice at least 7 days prior to the next scheduled charge.
- All balances must be paid in full before the program begins, including before residential check-in.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
Participant Cancellations
Cancellations must be submitted in writing.
- Full refund: Written cancellation received at least 72 hours before the first session.
- Partial refund: May be issued after a program begins, based on attendance and administrative costs.
- No refund: Issued once 25% or more of the program has been completed.
Refunds are processed within 10 business days of approval.
Medical & Natural Event Exceptions
Refunds may be granted in cases of documented medical emergencies or significant natural events (e.g., severe weather).
Event Cancellations by East Coast Village
If East Coast Village cancels an event, participants may choose:
- A full refund, or
- A full credit toward a future program.
7. Arrival, Attendance & Completion: For residential or multi-day programs:
- Participants must arrive on time for check-in.
- Late arrivals or early departures do not guarantee refunds or credits.
- Full attendance is expected unless otherwise arranged.
8. Charge Disputes
Please contact treasurer@eastcoastvillage.org before initiating a chargeback. We are committed to resolving billing concerns directly where possible.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
