There is a moment in every young girl's life when the inner well stirs and the moon's rhythm takes hold. This is the moment of her sovereign awakening, a passage that demands not silence, but celebration; not fear, but profound reverence. Therefore, we extend a sacred invitation to the daughters who are entering (or have entered) their moon era, girls ages 10 - 17 who stand ready to embrace the power of their moon wisdom. And, we invite the mothers, aunties, grandmothers and guardians to embrace their daughters through the threshold of their awakening by enrolling them in the Daughters of the Moon: A Sacred Rite of Passage into Becoming a Moon Bearer.

The modern world has forgotten how to honor the Maiden. At the East Coast Village, we offer a remedy -- a restoration of honor for the most profound transition in a girl's lifetime, the transition into a moon-bearer. This rite of passage is designed to allow each of your daughters to stand, heart open and spirits bare, before the lineage that birthed her.
This rite is where the Ancestors meet her, see her, bless her,
and covenant to walk with her for all her days.
When your daughter steps through this rite of passage, she will be reminded that:
She Is Sovereign
She will walk away knowing who she is, not defined by the world’s expectations, but rooted in her own truth.
Her Body Is Sacred
No longer a mystery or a source of shame, her body becomes a temple of wisdom. She learns to honor her moon rhythms as a gift, not a burden.

Her Journey Through three gates of transformation
Over five luminous days, guided by our Council of Wisdom Keepers, the young initiates will be led through the classic, powerful stages of ritual passage. This structure is not accidental; it is a meticulously held container that requires the young girls to leave the familiar behind, face the self in the sacred void, and return forever changed, as a moon-bearer.

The sun sets and shedding of the old skin begins. She formally detaches from the familiar world, stepping into the liminal space through symbolic hardship with the first touch of protective Ancestral Ash.

The moon rises, opening to the deep work of reuniting with the sacred. She communes with the Earth in rites of burial and rebirth, receiving the profound whispers of blessings as she remembers her innate power.

The sun rises with her sovereign return. The final cleanse by Water, after which she is celebrated, adorned with her sacred symbols, and presented to the community, her status forever transformed.

The true purpose of this sacred pilgrimage transcends the five days; it is meant to forge an unbreakable inner anchor for your daughter. By moving through the threshold with intention and courage, she will receive foundational gifts that will serve her throughout her life, rooting her in ancestral wisdom and preparing her to step into the world as a Daughter of the Moon. The complete Daughters of the Moon Rite of Passage is a profound initiation, a deep commitment valued at $995 per initiate. As a tribute to the first moon-bearers walking this path, we are opening the doors with an inaugural launch blessing of just $475 per initiate. This rate is strictly limited to the first cohort, as we seek financial support from the greater community to make this possible.
Duration: July 15 - 19, 2026. 5 days / 4 nights of full immersion and ceremony.

Note: Our circle is strictly limited to a maximum of 5 initiates to ensure the integrity and intensity of the ritual for every daughter.
Faq
Absolutely! You are more than welcome to refer girls/young ladies within your family unit who may benefit from this process. Note that space is limited to 5 initiates, therefore we may limit attendees when spaces are filled.
Ideally, each initiate is brought to the site by a family member who will act as emergency contact. We prefer if you do not stay for the entire time as separation is part of the process for the girls. You are invited to attend the Homecoming on Saturday evening along with the rest of the community and to transport your child home on Sunday after the rituals end. We will discuss options during the initial Zoom call once applications are accepted.
There is limited accommodations at the East Coast Village. For those needing to stay close by, or attending the Homecoming, kindly check AirBnbs, motels, etc. in the area. If you are the outdoors type, you may pitch a tent overnight at the East Coast Village. We will discuss options during the initial Zoom call once applications are accepted.
We aim to make this inaugural rite of passage as affordable as possible, as we seek support from the community to offset the costs. In cases like these, we suggest seeking financial support from friends and family for this profound process for your moon-bearer.
