The Way of the Ancestors™ is a 2-part hybrid journey, an online masterclass for seekers and practitioners committed to enter the living cosmology of ancestral wisdom and to apprentice themselves to the unseen world. This masterclass unveils Indigenous African Ancestral wisdom, deep mysteries into the scrolls of time, ready to be revealed.
The journey culminates in an in-person weekend at the East Coast Village, Cherry Plain, NY for the creation of an ancestor shrine, a powerful portal to the Other World as taught by our teacher and elder, Malidoma Somé.
Part 1: From Burden to Birthright (Online)
The Way of the Ancestors™ features a 12-session online masterclass where you will be guided through an ancient, cyclical map of the soul's journey. This structured framework ensures that your transformation is comprehensive, steady, and lasting. This is an experiential process which includes wisdom sharing, guided exercises and personal rituals to root the wisdom of your lineage directly into your daily life, making the ancestors a tangible, supportive presence.
This course is RIGHT ON TIME for me. Thank you for teaching us how to spiritually break generational trauma. I've done this a lot in therapy for myself and with my clients, but I LOVE the ritual that came with this teaching. I finally did the ritual. Took me a while because I knew what would come up, and to be honest, I didn't have enough mental capacity to deal with it. But the ritual turned out to be one of the most beautiful spiritual experiences I've ever had!

Yes! You may take the virtual masterclass and you will have an open invitation to join the in person weekend when offered.
The calls will be recorded and posted in the course platform for later viewing. Plus stay connected in the chatroom. Once enrolled, you will have unlimited access to course materials, student chat and recordings from live sessions.
Yes and no. The full training is both virtual and in-person. You are free to enroll in the virtual portion with an open invitation to participate in the in-person weekend at the East Coast Village, Cherry Plain, NY. Please check the ECV calendar for the in-person session dates.
For full participation, registered participants will need to equip themselves with material and supplies needed to complete personal rituals. The list will be posted on the course page.

Your Instructor
Aamirah (she/her/hers) is a Diviner, Spiritual Healer, Ritual Leader, and Tenbalusob (shrine keeper). Aamirah trained extensively with Dagara elder Malidoma Somé; the Foundation for Shamanic Studies; the Arthur Ford International Academy of Mediumship, the Healing Mysteries at Delphi University. She also trained in Soul Detective work (Level III) with Barbara Stone, Ph., LISW, DCEP.
Aamirah currently coordinates and facilitates ritual intensives at the East Coast Village where she brings her passion and dedication to promoting ancestral wisdom to the modern world.
