Grief Ritual: A Sacred Space for Telling, Shedding, and Remembering
There are moments when the intensity of life becomes too much to carry alone. When fear, frustration, anger, and uncertainty about what the future holds stir within us and the soul longs for a place to release, to be witnessed, and to be renewed.
In these times of deep change and uncertainty, many of us carry a quiet ache: It lives in our bones, in the spaces between past, present and future, in the ache of what has been lost and the fear of what is yet to come. And yet – when we come together, something holy happens.
Grief, when spoken aloud and witnessed in sacred circle, becomes medicine.
You are warmly and tenderly invited to attend our annual Grief Ritual, a sacred gathering where we will come together in circle and ceremony to speak the unspeakable, to shed what we can no longer hold alone, and to let our tears become prayers.
Together, we will:
- Sit in circle to share our stories, no matter how raw or unfinished
- Offer our grief at the ritual shrine, where the ancestors and unseen ones can witness and carry it with us
- Weep, wail, whisper, or simply breathe – however your grief wants to move
- Be held in the presence of community, where no story is too much and no expression is unwelcome.
This is not a space for fixing, analyzing, or blaming. This is a sacred threshold, a container to share your truth, for tenderness, and release.
You may arrive with grief for lost loved ones, for dreams deferred, for injustices endured, or for a world that feels out of balance. Whatever your grief, however it’s bottled within you, waiting to be released – come home, it’s time to grieve. The grief ritual is open to all !!!!

– A small object, photo, or symbol to place on the Ancestor Altar
– Your truth, your tears, your presence
– A light lunch will be offered. Please bring a potluck dish to share.
