Annual Tingan Celebration 2020
Friday and Saturday, September 11th and 12th
Zoom Call Saturday, 3:00 PM
Every year we celebrate and acknowledge the spirit of Tingan that has made our land sacred and allowed us to come together and has provided protection for us. For those who have made their commitment to Tingan, this land is the place in the world where we are connected to the sacred energy of the earth through Tingan. The land we have set aside for the Dagara medicine work has become our spiritual home. And we know we are always connected through Tingan no matter where we are.
Tingan is also the adjudicator for important issues, even life and death issues, in one’s life. Especially in this time of the pandemic, when so many in the country have died, and many more have become seriously ill, it is important that we keep our connection to Tingan strong and ask for Tingan’s help and assistance in this difficult and precarious time for all of us. So especially for this Tingan Celebration in this year it would be important to come together to acknowledge and express gratitude to Tingan in our lives and ask for Tingan’s continued assistance and protection in each of our lives.
The presenting of the Ark of the Covenant and the annual offering to Tingan this year will be done on Friday, September 11th. On Saturday, September 12th in the afternoon at 3:00 pm we plan to have a Zoom call so that we can come together, at least virtually, and tell the story of our village and what has happened in the last year, and what we would like to ask of Tingan now in this time of great need of safety and protection.
If there are any specific personal requests that you would like Robert, Tingan sob, to take to Tingan on your behalf, please email him at email@example.com.
And please let us know if you would like to be part of the Zoom call for the Tingan Celebration next Saturday by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We will send you the link for the zoom call. We look forward to seeing you then.
Donations are gratefully appreciated.
Thanks and Blessings,
