Terms & Conditions For Event Participation

 

1. Release of Liability

By registering for an event at the East Coast Village, you understand that your participation  may involve physical, emotional, and psychological activity and that in case of such an undertaking there is always a risk involved.  You understand that the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation dba East Coast Village, does not provide medical care and that you are therefore responsible for assessing the risk any activity poses to you, and choosing a safe course of action for yourself.

You hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation/East Coast Village, its officers, employees and agents, and any other people officially connected with this event or activity, from all claims, demands, and causes of action which you, your heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on your behalf or on behalf of your estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

You understand that this and all other Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation/East Coast Village events or activities are offered for educational purposes only and not for the purposes of treating or diagnosing any participant for any physical or mental condition or illness, and that you take full responsibility to consult with your health care provider.

2. Photo/Recordings

You hereby grant the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation/East Coast Village, its officers, employees, agents, and any other people officially connected with the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation, to use your likeness in a photograph for purposes of publicizing our programs or for any other lawful purpose, including website entries, without payment or any other consideration.

You grant the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation/East Coast Village publishing rights to works created during this event, including, but not limited to, audio and electronic recordings and transcripts. In addition, you waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy. Additionally, you waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use your photograph or recorded works.

You may request NOT to have your photograph taken prior to the start of the event.

3. Payments

When registering for an event, a deposit of no less than 50% of the tuition fee is required. Payments to complete the balance owed must be arranged with the Program Director by calling 518.658.0122 or by email to abranch (at)  eastcoastvillage.org.

Online: Complete your payment via Paypal which accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.

By Mail: you may submit the registration form and select the “send payment by check” option AND follow up by sending a check / money order to the address indicated. Please don’t send cash in the mail.  Your space is not confirmed until we receive your payment and your registration will expire if payment is not received within 10 business days from the registration date.

At the Door: All outstanding balances must be paid in full prior to start of the event. A participant is not considered to be registered until full payment is made, including tuition fees and room and board.

If paying a balance on location, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the first session to complete registration. Incomplete registrants prior to the start of the first session will not be able to participate.

3. Cancellation

Prior to the start date of the event, if you submit notice of cancellation:

Two weeks or more – a refund will be granted on all fees (tuition, room & board) minus a processing fee of 10% of tuition.

More than 48 hours but less than two weeks – a credit (but no refund) on all fees will be granted minus a processing fee of 5% of tuition. Credits are valid for 12 months following the cancellation date. The processing fee will be waived if you transfer to another program at the time of cancellation or if you donate your deposit to the Ancestral Wisdom Bridge Foundation as a tax-deductible contribution.

Less than 48 hours – No refunds or credits will granted.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to insufficient enrollment or acts of nature. Registered participants will be notified of such changes at least 48 hours prior to the start day. When cancelled by us, a full refund will be issued or you may opt to receive full credit for future event(s).
Refunds are also granted in cases of documented medical emergency or acts of nature.
